On July 22nd, the MontEO project team members of Z_GIS and MJP Ziviltechniker went for a field trip to Mühlbach in the Hochkönig study area. Mass movements and their impact on the hiking trail are clearly recognizable along the path from Arthurhaus to Mitterfeldalm and beyond towards Matrashaus. The team collected data about landslides, rockfall and erosion features and assessed the quality of the mapping products of MontEO. These products included the remote sensing-derived landslide inventories, landslide susceptibility maps, land cover classifications, the rockfall models and erosion models. One visiting guest researcher from the University of São Paulo joined the field trip and supported the assessment in the field with her expertise in landslide research.
